In 2024, Render Network marked a year of significant progress and expansion, highlighted by a substantial increase in usage and the integration of advanced technological capabilities. According to Render Network, the platform achieved a threefold increase in usage, alongside the introduction of new features and upgrades that enhance the network’s efficiency and scalability.
Token Upgrades and Network Efficiency
A major milestone for Render Network was the upgrade of a majority of RNDR ERC-20 tokens to the new Solana SPL RENDER token. This transition laid the groundwork for improved network efficiency and scalability, facilitating the implementation of the Burn Mint Equilibrium. This mechanism supports network growth by enabling the release of Creator and Availability Rewards, crucial for the network’s expansion in the latter half of the year.
Expanding 3D Tool Support
Throughout the year, Render Network implemented governance proposals that broadened support for various 3D rendering tools and workflows. Notably, the Render Network Cinema 4D Wizard was launched, providing a seamless workflow for artists using Cinema 4D to access the network’s extensive compute power. Additionally, integration with Redshift and Blender Cycles further expanded the network’s capabilities, allowing artists to utilize high-performance GPU cloud rendering for free.
Integration of AI Compute Services
Render Network made significant strides in integrating AI workflows into its decentralized GPU computing platform. The network began supporting generative AI services, including text-to-image generation tools like Flux by BlackForest Labs and Stable Diffusion by Stability AI. These integrations pave the way for a unified pipeline that synthesizes 3D and AI creation workflows, enhancing the network’s utility beyond traditional GPU rendering.
Community Growth and Global Presence
The Render Network community experienced substantial growth, surpassing 200,000 followers on social media and exceeding 40 million rendered frames. The network’s presence at major global events, such as Mutek Montreal and Token2049, reinforced its position as a leader in decentralized computing and AI integration. These events facilitated new partnerships and expanded the network’s influence in the 3D graphics and AI industries.
