Linea Ignition launches a program to boost DeFi TVL and reward liquidity providers, aiming for $1 billion in TVL with 1 billion LINEA tokens as incentives.
Linea, a prominent layer-2 blockchain known for its capital-efficient Ethereum operations, has unveiled an ambitious initiative named ‘Linea Ignition’. This program is designed to accelerate the total value locked (TVL) within the Linea DeFi ecosystem and reward liquidity providers, according to Linea.
Program Overview
The Linea Ignition program, approved by the Linea Consortium, aims to inject over $1 billion in TVL, distributing 1 billion LINEA tokens from its ecosystem fund as rewards. The initiative intends to power Linea’s unique Native Yield mechanism, which promises sustainable DeFi rewards utilizing bridged Ethereum.
Participation and Rewards
The program, which has been tested in a private beta, is now open to all liquidity providers. It targets leading DeFi protocols on Linea Mainnet, such as Etherex, Aave, and Euler, offering LINEA rewards for engaging with these platforms. The incentive program will run until October 26, 2025.
Rewards are calculated and verified using Brevis’s ZK Coprocessor and Pico ZKVM, ensuring transparency and security. To participate, liquidity providers can connect their wallets to the campaign page on the Brevis network and add liquidity to specified pools.
Reward Calculation
For Etherex pools, rewards are based on swap volume and slippage, using an Inverted U-Curve Incentive Function to encourage impactful liquidity provision during market stress. Aave and Euler pools allocate rewards based on a weight that considers actual and target TVL, with additional incentives for under-utilized pools. Rewards are updated weekly, typically by Monday or Tuesday.
Claiming Rewards
Participants can view their rewards via the official campaign website, with all reward calculations being fully decentralized and transparent. Before October 27, 2025, rewards remain locked. On this date, 40% of rewards become claimable, with the remaining 60% unlocking daily over 45 days.
The program’s reward formulas and parameters are subject to updates, reflecting changes in market conditions and regulatory factors. Consensys reserves the right to modify or terminate the program. Participants are advised to conduct due diligence before engaging.
